It's no secret that Donald Trump has wanted to get tough on immigration, as he made it a corner stone of his campaign for president since the very start. After a judge blocked his latest attempt to defund sanctuary cities, the president wasn't too happy about it.
Trump on Twitter
When Donald Trump first announced his campaign for president, he labeled illegal immigrants from Mexico as "rapists" and "murderers." Backlash quickly followed, as many accused the former host of "The Apprentice" of being a "bigot" and "racist" due to his stance on immigration.
Trump went as far as proposing to deport all 11 million illegal immigrants from the United States, while vowing to get Mexico to pay for the construction of a border wall between the two countries. After he was sworn into office, Trump took his immigration policies to another level with his now infamous "Muslim ban" executive order, though it was eventually blocked by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Trump's latest attempt to make a move on immigration was to strip federal funding from sanctuary cities, but once again a judge at the appeals court blocked the president's attempt. As seen on his Twitter account on April 26, Trump decided to lash out.
Out of our very big country, with many choices, does everyone notice that both the "ban" case and now the "sanctuary" case is brought in ...

Taking to his Twitter feed on Wednesday morning, Donald Trump was not pleased with the latest ruling regarding his defunding of sanctuary cities.
"First the Ninth Circuit rules against the ban & now it hits again on sanctuary cities-both ridiculous rulings," Trump wrote on Twitter, before adding, "See you in the Supreme Court!"
...the Ninth Circuit, which has a terrible record of being overturned (close to 80%). They used to call this "judge shopping!" Messy system.

In a pair of follow-up tweets, it was clear that Donald Trump was not going to let the latest ruling slide without a fight.

Trump concluded by noting that the judicial system in the United States is a "Messy system."

Twitter reacts
In response to Donald Trump's latest rant on social media, Twitter users were quick to fire back.
"Wow, you REALLY are an abject failure, aren't ya?!" writer Jules Suzdaltsev wondered. "Next time you sign an Executive Order, you should try reading The Constitution first," writer Nick Jack Pappas tweeted out.

@realDonaldTrump Do you plan to attend the hearing in the Supreme Court? Can you even name all 9 sitting judges right now?
— Roland Scahill (@rolandscahill) April 26, 2017
"Your lack of respect for the judiciary is astounding! Your lack of compassion for refugees is incredible. You are horrific," Twitter user Roland Scahill fired back. The reaction continued, as it was made clear that many Americans are not on the same page as the president.
