A Pokemon player has died after he caught a Rare Pokemon. The Man, Liang Weiming, 67, suffered a fatal heart attack shortly after catching "Lapras." The incident occurred in Singapore over the weekend. Weiming, a retiree, was looking for Pokemon around the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. He was in the area while he was celebrating a family member's birthday. While outside, he fell ill, and then he collapsed.

His cellphone was analyzed, and it was revealed he was playing Pokemon and that he caught the rare monster right before he suffered a heart attack.

He also managed to catch "Granbull," which is a legendary Pokemon.

Wife is devastated

Chen Ma Li, Weiming's wife, said she received a call from the hospital in the early evening hours. She said medical staff told her to go and see her husband one last time. Ma Li said that's when she knew things were bad. She mentioned how Weiming had a history of heart disease. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said Weiming was rushed to the hospital just before 6:00 p.m. but died a short time later.

He loved Pokemon Go

Weiming loved to play Pokemon Go, which is a mobile game. It uses a mobile device's camera and GPS. It involves finding virtual Pokemon in real locations around the world. For example, you can use your phone to play the game, and a map will appear on your screen.

It will show Pokemon in a real location, which you will have to go to if you want to catch it.

Before his death, Weiming managed to capture 200 different kinds of Pokemon. In the game, which has gained popularity among people from around the world, he got up to level 28. The aim of the game is to capture as many Pokemon as possible and to defeat other Pokemon Go players if you decide to battle them.

Not the first Pokemon Go related death

Sadly, Weiming isn't the first Pokemon Go player to die in 2017. Earlier in the year, a 60-year-old man was shot after a security guard became suspicious of his behavior. The victim was sitting in his van alone, and it was nighttime. His family said he was just sitting in his van near a Pokemon Gym.
