The United Arab Emirates is always coming up with ideas to improve its tourism potential. It is already home to a large number of theme parks, and the Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is unique because it is an indoor affair. This will have obvious advantages since it will protect the visitors from the scorching heat of the city and its surroundings.

USA Today reports that this it is spread over more than 20 acres and opened on July 25.

It has roller coasters which are an integral part of any theme park. Some of the attractions include rides that are themed around imaginary heroes who possess superpowers with which to fight evil. There are also well-known comic characters who can join in photo shoots. Since it is located inside a building, it earns the title of the largest indoor theme park in the world.

The new indoor theme park has high hopes

Theme parks are a big draw in Abu Dhabi. The United Arab Emirates wants to continue to cash in on this and position itself as an attractive tourist destination. There are big names associated with theme parks that are already present in the UAE, and the entry of Warner Bros.

World Abu Dhabi is another step taken by the country to woo tourists.

Peter van Roden is the senior VP for Global Themed Entertainment at Warner Bros. Studios. In his opinion, “when kids are walking through a park and see Batman walking down the street, those are the things that are really amazing.”

He feels the park, which is located on Yas Island, will attract visitors from not just the Middle East, but also from Western Europe, Russia, and Asia. Additionally, tourists, especially from China, Travel more these days. All of them will love the air-conditioned setup.

It is an ambitious project

This indoor theme park in Abu Dhabi is no doubt unique. It offers the visitor an opportunity to enjoy the rides in air-conditioned comfort, but the field is crowded.

According to CNN, this park is the most ambitious Warner Bros. franchise to date, but it will have to face stiff competition. It does have its plus point in that everything is indoors. Those who come need not worry about the extreme weather of the desert country.

However, there are many big budget theme parks that have entered the UAE over the past decade, and the number of visitors must increase to make them world beaters. Warner Bros. are hopeful that its indoor facility will boost footfalls in Yas Island from 25 million in 2015, to 30 million in 2018. Incidentally, so far, none of the parks in the UAE have made any great impact in the international arena, and the owners are still exploring methods to woo foreign tourists.
