While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have taken most of the royal attention, Prince William turned heads as he sported a short haircut while visiting the Evelina London Children's Hospital.

Prince Harry and other royal family members have joked about the Duke of Cambridge's hair in the past.

Prince Harry has even said William "was already bald aged 12." William has always been a good sport about the jabs and shaved his head so family and friends have less hair to joke about. Prince William even joked with his hairstylist in September saying, "I don't have much hair. I can't give you much business," according to Vanity Fair.

However, this is not the first time a royal family member's hair is the topic of conversation. In 2014 Kate Middleton joked about her husband's bare head when meeting Lyn Crejan, a farmer from South Wales. When the farmer displayed a piece of wool similar to the color of William's head, the Lyn Crejan said the Princess commented to her husband:

"The Prince was interested in the alpaca and as I showed it to them, the princess said he should put it on his head.

She said, 'You need it more than me,' and pointed to his head and he laughed," according to the BBC.

ABC said William and Harry enjoy joking about William's appearance often. According to ABC William shared that, during flight training while the Princes were younger Prince Harry took a jab at his older brother and said: "I think he definitely is brainier than I am, — along with his baldness.

"

Like always, William laughed and jabbed back at his brother: "That's pretty rich coming from a ginger."

Even with William's positive attitude on the matter, he is happy his genes do not run in the family. Ironically William’s son, Prince George had more hair after birth than his father at the time. According to the New York Post, when Prince George was presented to the public in July 2013, William stated in a press conference that he was overjoyed his newborn has "got way more [hair] than me, thank God!"

The haircut's debut

During the recent royal appearance at the Step Into Heath program, which helps veterans find employment in the National Health Service.

This organization is also a part of The Royal Foundation which the Princes and Kate Middleton oversee. During the visit, the William met with children staying in the hospital and checked in on the veterans who work through The Royal Foundation.

Since the haircut's debut, comments on the Prince have escalated on social media. While many people admire the new look on William, some have been taking after the royal family's tradition by poking fun at the Prince's look. A couple Twitter users have been comparing the Prince's new look to the commercial character, Mr. Clean.

The Prince has yet to respond to the reactions, however, it does not look like he will be changing his hair anytime soon.
