London Fashion Week continues showcasing the British fashion since it started on September 15. But there were two designers who presented remarkable designs that take its inspiration from the modern world.
Established fashion brand Emporio Armani chose to mix classic styles and modern designs in its runway show held at the Tobacco Dock space in London, The Guardian reported. The Italian fashion house has been gracing runway shows in its home country Italy, but as it graced the stage in London, it came with a surprising act featuring its latest collection.
The new collection had playful cuts on the fabric with fancy printed designs over vests, such as an image of crabs. There were also printed trousers in pajama style, suitable for a new and upcoming market that the brand is beginning to target, The Guardian also noted.
There were also appearances of youthful styles, with shirts and plastic handbags featured on the runway. However, Armani made sure that it still showcased it the trademark of colored jackets worn with oversized pants, evening dresses and pinstripe attire for men.
Young designer
Another remarkable show was that of young London-based designer Erdem Moralioglu. London Fashion Week is significant for this designer since it is one of his major shows.
The collection was loved by both the general audience and the fashion enthusiasts, as seen from the frequency of the smartphones being raised to take photos of the models and the applause as the show ended. According to The Guardian, Moralioglu’s collection exuded high street fashion.

Most of the clothes had hemlines below the knee, slim sleeves and elegant cuts.
The fabrics were pieced together artistically, revealing his “poetic, cinematic approach to fashion.”
Many of the creations also had colors that seemed to have come from paintings. It had bright pastel yellows, bright pinks and rose colors matched with pearl edging and rare fabrics.
