Pippa Middleton, whose real name is Philippa Charlotte Middleton, is marrying James Matthews on Saturday, May 20, 2017. They will be married at St. Mark's Church in Berkshire, England by the resident priest, Rev. Nick Wynne-Jones. Afterward, the wedding reception will be held seven miles away at Pippa's parents' $7 million manor in Bucklebury. A glass palace that was reportedly shipped from Belgium has been erected on the property of Michael and Carole Middleton to house the guests during the reception.
Pippa was in her older sister's wedding in 2011, and people came to know her by her shapely backside as she lifted Kate Middleton's wedding train and walked behind her down the aisle.
However, the Duchess of Cambridge will not be in Pippa's wedding.
Not royal
Because Pippa and James are not royal, it will not be a royal wedding per se. However, it will be close to one according to the planning that has gone into it. After all, Pippa is an event planner. Therefore, she has gone all out planning her own nuptials. The event has been described as "the wedding of the year."
Pippa, 33, and James, 41, are private citizens, but they will have some royal guests at the wedding They will say their vows before four royals that include Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Besides, three-year-old Prince George will be a page boy and his two-year-old sister Princess Charlotte will be a bridesmaid for their aunt.
Will Meghan Markle attend the wedding?
Initially, Pippa reportedly was going to use the "no ring, no bring" policy that would have kept Meghan Markle away because she and Prince Harry are not engaged. Then, it was reported that Meghan was invited to the reception only and not the wedding. The latest report, according to The Daily Telegraph is that Markle will attend the church wedding and the reception.
She took a week off from his filming of "Suits" in Toronto to spend time with Harry after the wedding.
Mrs. James Matthews
Pippa and James have been engaged since July 17, 2016. The hedge fund manager James Matthews gave Pippa a dazzling Art Deco-inspired Asscher cut diamond that reportedly cost about $263,000. This happened after he asked Michael Middleton for his daughter's hand in marriage.
In spite of the fact that Pippa isn't royal, she will eventually get a title and a new name. Pippa's future father-in-law, David Matthews, is the Laird of Glen Affric and his son James will inherit the title after his father's death. Therefore, Pippa will have the title Lady of Glen Affric. On Saturday, the only title that Pippa will be proud to have is Mrs. James Matthews.
