Epic Games has released the second "Fortnite Battle Royale" patch of Season 9 on May 15 at 4 AM Eastern Time. The v9.01 patch was small, but it has brought some drastic changes to the popular video game. These changes include weapon adjustments, removal of another weapon, and several gameplay tweaks. Besides the changes that have been released to live servers, the video game developer has added a lot of new files to the game data.

As always, data miners have done a great job recovering files added with the patch, showing us the content that will be added in the future.

Epic Games has added the John Wick skin to the "Fortnite Battle Royale" data, and players are eagerly waiting for it to be released in the Item Shop. Data miners have already revealed that the skin would return to the game and that it would come with a special limited-time game mode and challenges.

The hitman is coming back

Many "Fortnite Battle Royale" players remember that a John Wick-inspired skin was added to the game with the Season 3 Battle Pass. The final skin of the Battle Pass was called The Reaper and it was based on John Wick. Although the skin wasn't the real John Wick, it was clear that it was a reference to the popular hitman, especially since there were some other items that were used as a reference as well, such as the pencil pickaxe.

However, the skin that is coming to the game looks authentic this time. It is based on John Wick that is played by Keanu Reeves, and it looks amazing! You can see what it looks like in the image below.

At the moment, it is unknown what the rarity of this skin is going to be and whether or not it will be available in the Item Shop.

It is important to note that two Marvel skins, Black Widow and Star Lord, had special rarities and they cost 1,500 V-Bucks. Considering that these two skins were used for the movie promotion, it is very likely that the John Wick skin will have a unique rarity as well.

Special LTM, challenges, and promotion

Another John Wick movie is scheduled to be released on May 16 and Epic Games will also have a video game based on this character on the Epic Games Store.

These are the two reasons why the skin is coming to "Fortnite Battle Royale," and there is no doubt that once again, both the game and the movie will benefit from this promotion.

Besides the special outfit that will be released to the game, players will also be able to play a new limited-time game mode called "Wick's Bounty." Right now, there are not many details regarding this mode, but we do know that it will come with exclusive challenges. Completing these challenges will reward players with special rewards that will only be available during the duration of this LTM.
