One thing that separates "Fortnite Battle Royale" from other video games is the constantly-changing nature of the game. Epic Games has released almost a hundred patches for it since its release in September 2017, and that will keep happening. Season 9 is just around the corner, and it turns out that the video game developer will prepare another big in-game event to prepare players for it.

Before the eighth season of the popular video game ends, there will be two major events that will bring drastic changes to it. One of the events will happen on Saturday, May 4, and it will be an interactive event "Fortnite Battle Royale" players will actively participate in.

The other event will be linked to the volcano and it will bring a few big changes to the in-game island, including the destruction of Tilted Towers.

The weekend event

The weekend event will take place at Loot Lake and, according to data miners, it will be called "Unvaulting." Epic Games has added a huge vault at the center of the lake a few weeks ago, and this vault seems to be the same vault the game creator uses to store removed weapons in. During the event, players will have a chance to bring one of the vaulted weapons back to the game. According to the files found in the game data, there will be six different items to choose from.

"Fortnite Battle Royale" players will be able to pick one of the following items to bring back to the game; Drum Gun, Bounce Pad, X-4 Stormwing, Tactical Submachine Gun, Grappler, and the Infinity Blade.

Data miner ShiinaBR has posted some more interesting leaks on Twitter, showing a few strings found in the game data. One of those strings is, "The Choice is yours," indicating that players will be given a choice.

Even before this, data miners have found the voting system that will be used during the event. At the moment, it is unknown when exactly Epic Games will unvault the weapon that wins the vote, but we can expect it to make its return in Season 9, considering that it's scheduled to be released on May 8.

Some of the items, such as the X-4 Stormwing and the Grappler, most likely won't receive a lot of votes. However, we can expect a close race between the Drum Gun, the Bounce Pad, and the Tactical SMG.

The release date

"Fortnite Battle Royale" players will be able to experience this event on Saturday, May 4, at 3 PM Eastern Time.

This will be a unique event which means that players will not be able to witness it more than once. Considering that Loot Lake will once again be changed and that players will be able to bring an item back to the game, we can expect millions of "Fortnite" players to get online and witness the big in-game event. Do not miss it!
