It’s a huge day for fans of the widely popular multiplayer game "World of Warcraft." The US gaming firm, Blizzard Entertainment made an important announcement this week. The company has just announced plans to launch new PVP content for "World of Warcraft Classic" or "WoW."

First announced at BlizzCon 2017, the widely popular "WoW Classic" was released to the public to provide a way to experience the base game before Blizzard released any of its expansion packs to the market. The company plans to release the new PVP content in the summer of 2019.

What to expect from Blizzard's latest addition

Blizzard recently revealed their six-stage plan for new PVE content. And this week the company will be sharing more details about the rollout of new PVP updates.

So what exactly can gamers expect from this classic version of "World of Warcraft?" Like the previous game that was released in 2004, the "WoW Classic" will be released to the public with no formal PVP system. There’s no need to worry for the players. Blizzard said players will still be able to go out and kill any players, but they won’t be rewarded or penalized for what they have done. In phase two of the update, Blizzard will be adding PVP Rank Rewards, Honorable Kills, and Dishonorable Kills.

Phase three of the update will bring more action as Blizzard will bring Battlegrounds. Here, players will also experience the newly added Alterac Valley and Warsong Gulch. Additionally, Blizzard will be adding new vendors in phase four.

Phase four will introduce the Arathi Basin Battlegrounds. And then in phase six, Blizzard will be releasing the world PVP objectives in Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.

Players will learn more about this when they visited Blizzard’s website. Finally, the "WoW Classic" will be released sometime this summer. Blizzard said in their website that the new content will be made available for players who already have the subscription to the multiplayer online role-playing game.
