Epic Games is preparing a lot of cool things for "Fortnite Battle Royale" players. Some of these things are currently undergoing testing and should be available in March. Others, however, will be released on February 8, including the new competitive system. For the first time in the popular video game, players will be able to rank up and move from one division to another.

While the video game developer has organized many tournaments for "Fortnite" so far, most players only had a chance to play in the pop-up cups. This is going to change soon, and the best players will have a chance to earn some valuable rewards.

Epic Games has announced some details regarding the ranked play that will be added to "Fortnite" with "Share The Love" event, and here is what we know about it so far.

Ranked Play details

"Share the Love" Competitive Series will be the first ranked play for "Fortnite Battle Royale." Players will be able to earn promotions into higher divisions, and those who separate themselves from the rest of the pack will be given the access to a special event that will happen at the end of the current month.

According to Epic Games, there will be four different divisions players will be put in. The first division is the Open Division, and players who earn enough points will move to the Prospect Division. After that, there is the Contender Division, with the final division being the Champion Division.

The series will begin with a few placement matches on February 9 and 10. These matches will determine players' ranks (divisions) and players will then be able to earn promotions to higher divisions based on their performance. Players will move to the next division by earning a pin, which can be earned in any daily session. Those players who earn a pin in the Champion Division will unlock access to the Champion Division Finals on February 23 and 24.

More things are coming

Epic Games has revealed that more things related to the ranked play are coming with the v7.40 patch. At the moment, we don't know what this is going to be, but there is a good chance that all participants of the competitive series will be given a special cosmetic reward that will be added with the patch.

While the ranked play will be in an early phase, we can expect the game developer to improve it and make it functional for everyone this year. After all, it appears that we are getting custom games too, so we will be able to create our own tournaments.
