Since its release, the hybrid console Nintendo Switch has been on the hunt for third-party support and big budget titles. It appears that the hunt is still ongoing with the latest rumor flooding the Internet. If the most recent rumor is true, it seems that one of the popular games, “The Witcher 3” would soon be available in the hybrid console.
Latest Leak
The latest rumor originates from a French wholesale retailer. It was a listing that surfaced on wtt.biz with a release date of December 31, 2019. The listing was immediately taken down, but it was a little late because some gamers already spread the word about it on the Internet.
The post triggered speculations among gamers that “The Witcher 3” by CD Projekt Red is going to be released in the hybrid console Nintendo Switch.
Unintentional listings
In the gaming world, accidental listings happen almost all the time. It could be due to misprints, wrongful information, or clerical errors. However, it is an interesting concept to entertain. If you come to think of it, the title is the last phase of the tale of Geralt of Rivia.
Despite that it was released a few years ago, the title still bags several awards and inspiring accolades. Could this latest rumor really mean that a potential port is really on the way? It is safe to say that Nintendo has always proven to the gamers that they can always make the impossible possible.
There is a French wholesaler that currently has a listing of The Witcher 3 for the Nintendo Switch. The site seems suspect, to say the least. You can entertain the information as rumor, but wouldn't treat it as anything beyond that.

Technical issues
But, the chances that Geralt’s final installment actually releasing on the hybrid console is very slim.
The listing may give hope to the fans of the popular franchise but it is very graphically demanding and has a massive install size. These factors could be a huge issue for the Nintendo Switch. Apparently, the hybrid console has a low power and storage space if you compare it to other consoles in the gaming market.
These factors, however, have not hindered other big titles from being released on Nintendo Switch.
If you can recall, popular titles like “DOOM,” and “Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus” were also released in the hybrid console but of course with several issues in terms of graphics. CD Projekt Red is a very talented studio and might also be able to do some magic for the game to be released on Switch.
For now, let us just leave this leak in the rumor mound because of the absence of official confirmation from the parties involved. Gamers can just wish and hope that “The Witcher 3” will soon release on the hybrid console, Nintendo Switch. For now, you can still enjoy the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
