In the video game world, many systems and games have been remastered and brought to modern consoles in the past year, along with recreations of past systems from many years ago. Nintendo took it upon themselves to recreate the Nintendo Classic and release an HD version, which has sold out numerous times. There has also been a reveal that Microsoft is planning on releasing an Xbox One X console, but in white, along with a copy of the anticipated game "Fallout 76."

Sony has announced a couple of days ago that they are recreating the very first PlayStation system that came out close to 25 years ago.

In other PlayStation news, "Assassins Creed 3 Remastered" is set to arrive in March of next year and be included for season pass holders.

A classic return

The first PlayStation console was groundbreaking for Sony as it built a foundation of top-notch gaming and the start to something remarkable. The PlayStation 2,3, and currently 4, are what would follow after the very first console and each brought something improved in terms of visuals, design, gaming, and added live service. The significance of what the system brought can be understood from an article from PlayStation's blog stating: "It was the first home console in video game history to ship 100 million units worldwide."

The updated original system will be different of course, being 45 percent smaller, according to the blog.

It will still hold a lot of nostalgia for gamers as it will have the same feel and have the same design and controllers. The classic console is currently available for pre-order throughout the US and Canada.

The system will come with an HDMI cable, a USB cable, and come with two controllers, which is a nice gesture to play with others at home.

It will cost $99.99 dollars and release on December 3 of this year.

Loaded with 20 games

According to the tweet and from many sources, the PlayStation Classic will be coming loaded with 20 games from that groundbreaking generation.

According to an article by GameRant and by the Tweet, some of the games that will be included in the package will be "Tekken 3," "Final Fantasy VII," Jumping Flash," "Ridge Racer Type 4," and "Wild Arms."

"Final Fantasy" is a top game of PlayStation with a huge fan base, but these other games are sure to bring nostalgia and delight to all gamers. It will be intriguing to see what other Video Games will come with the PlayStation Classic as not all of the 20 have been revealed.

The announcement to bring back the very first PlayStation console is definitely surprising and it looks like many will purchase the newer edition of it as many remastered consoles and games have sold particularly well within the past year.

It seems Sony is responding to the growing demand of remastered consoles with Nintendo recreating the Nintendo HD Classic Edition and according to the article who plan to release a Gamecube Classic according to growing rumors after E3.
