Ubisoft, the developer behind the popular "Ghost Recon Wildlands," released a brand new update for the tactical shooter game. The newly released Update 1.23 Patch, which is reportedly under two GB in size, is (mostly) for a hotfix that was recently released for the PC version of the game.

According to PSU, the latest update is expected to address important bug fixes. These include issues related to the short barrel on the HK416, as well as the Iron Sight issue. The update also addresses an issue with Observer Mode, where the observer received the same End of Round/End of Match messages.

It also addressed an issue, with the save slot, and adjusted Valkyrie’s image. The latest update also allows players to earn 50 percent more XP and resources when in Ghost Mode. In addition to bug fixes, Ubisoft also announced their future plans, including two upcoming updates: September’s Operations and Maintenance and December’s Special Operations 3.

Ubisoft talks more about the future of gaming

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot shared his vision for the future of gaming using blockchain technology, cloud computing, and more. The company released a brief video in Shanghai, China, showing the CEO talking more about the future of gaming, according to DualShockers.

Guillemot said that Video Games are about to get more interactive.

The CEO also talked about the use of Blockchain cryptocurrency in gaming. He said that the new technology would allow players to build content and even sell content to other players. Watch the video below:

Ubisoft has two more big updates coming this year

Previously, we reported about the upcoming two big updates. As posted in the recent developer blog post, the much-awaited Operations and Maintenance update will arrive in late September.

Similar to the Operation Health update of "Rainbow Six Siege," this new update will feature some important bug fixes.

In addition to September's update, Ubisoft is planning another huge update on December. The Special Operations 3 will bring a special theme along with a free PVE mission and PVP contents. The update will also bring new features and some enhancements requested by the "Ghost Recon" community.
