Free games for the month of August for PSN has not been announced yet, but "Heavy Rain" will still be available for download, along with "Absolver." The PlayStation 4 has been the best console out beating out both the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, although they have been competitive to a point. The Switch has been very successful and fun to play for gamers across the world.
It is fair to think, however, that a new PlayStation console has to be on the horizon as the PS4 arrived at gamers in 2013. A lot of rumors have been stated that the PS5 is on the way or in development.
Either way whenever the latest member of the PlayStation family arrives, there are plenty of games to look forward to on the PS4 with games like "Spider-Man" "The Last of Us II," and "Ghosts of Tsushima," which were all at the forefront of Sony's E3 press conference a month ago.
Possible 2020 release
Aside from some great upcoming games arriving on the PlayStation 4, the year has been one full of remasters with many franchises like "Jak and Daxter," "Crash Bandicoot," "Burnout Paradise," among others that arrived on the console within the year.
According to an article by Express, developers would like to see more power from the next console like using weapons in whatever state they are in. Emerging reports have indicated that by a report "on SemiAccurate suggests that PlayStation 5 dev kits are already in the hands of developers and that the PS5 could have a shock release date." Others like Michael Pachter believe that the system will be available by 2020.
Others have strayed away from the rumors and predictions though, thinking that 2021, 2022 date is possible. Speaking earlier about remasters, the article confirms that "Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition" will be out on August 31 to gamers. Features will be added such as different difficulty options and will include multiplayer.
An upcoming PS4 game could arrive on PS5
The upcoming popular game that could arrive on both PS4 and PS5 is "Death Stranding." The information comes from an article by Comicbook where well-known analyst Michael Pachter makes the bold claim that instead of the game being an exclusive, it will be a PS5 game as well.
There has been no date for when the game will arrive, for now, some guess 2020 or 2019.
The game certainly looks intriguing with its brand of horror attached to it that the studio is known for. This would not be the first time that the analyst has predicted the PS5 release as he has been adamant about it. Michael Pachter also believes in an article by Express that the "Xbox One X 2" is likely to release around the same time as the PS5.
All of these are rumors and are not 100 percent fact. Many have been thinking that a release is on the way for both systems because of the time. The Nintendo Switch and other brands have been trying to make new consoles to battle Microsoft and Sony.
