E3 2018 promised major gaming news from throughout the industry and it did not disappoint. Each company that brought a presence to the event this year walked away with major excitement for upcoming releases from the fans. The event in Los Angeles technically doesn't begin for another few days, but each company used the weekend to unveil major news. Xbox always brings the energy to these events.

They're annually one of the most beloved and purchased gaming systems in the country, creating a high level of expectations year after year. They didn't let down their legion of fans ahead of E3 2018. Here are the three biggest announcements from Microsoft Xbox at E3 2018.

1. New 'Cyberpunk 2077' trailer

"Cyberpunk 2077" was announced over six years ago, but has since sunk into some sort of development hell. A report by The Verge stated that E3 2018 brought the first real footage from the Xbox role-playing game. The visuals of the world look stunning, with the game being set in a dark metropolis, not unlike that depicted in the "Blade Runner" movies.

Beyond what the game will look like, very little is known about how "Cyberpunk 2077" will follow in the footsteps of the tabletop "Cyberpunk 2020." Unfortunately, no release date is known.

2. 'Jump Force'

Love "Super Smash Bros. Melee?" Probably, considering it's one of the most universally popular Video Games of all-time. There's never really been a proper rival to the game, but Bandai Namco Entertainment is trying with "Jump Force," a brawler-style video game featuring characters from the universes of "Dragon Ball Z," "Naruto," and "Death Note," among others. If we're being honest, the darling of the Xbox presentation at E3 2018 isn't going to match the caliber of "Super Smash Bros." The 2019 release looks like it could be well worth the effort anyway, though, and that's a positive sign.

3. 'Fallout 76' Goes Big

The Xbox keynote honed in on the newest release in the "Fallout" franchise, "Fallout 76." Supposedly, this will be the biggest, most expansive game in the franchise by a longshot. Another new report by The Verge stated that the Bethesda game unveiled the first gameplay trailer at E3 2018. The prequel is set in West Virginia, ostensibly before the bombs drop and change the layout of the world. "Fallout 76" was only unveiled last month, but the hype has already reached preposterous levels. The settlement system of "Fallout 4" appears to remain in this iteration. There's no release date yet for "Fallout 76."
