The latest updates for "Kingdom Hearts 3" reveal new game details about this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event. Square Enix will be hosting a conference at the said event, revealing their plans for their upcoming video titles this year and beyond. This will include more information about the sequel, such as gameplay features, characters, and new Disney worlds.

There is also a returning character in the sequel. as Twitter user mikey tweeted that Organization XIII member Larxene will be added to the cast after the latter sent a message to her voice actor Shanelle Gray on her Instagram.

Who is Larxene?

In the "Kingdom Hearts" series, Larxene is a Nobody and a member of Organization XIII, who made her debut in "KH: Chain of Memories." She is the only female member of the core group and has a sadistic nature. Larxene has the ability to control lightning and uses it for her attacks with her electrified throwing knives.

Larxene was stationed in Castle Oblivion alongside Marluxia, Axel, Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion, as they stop Sora from reaching Namine. She also became a playable character in a non-canonical mission in "KH: 358/2 Days." Her return in "KH 3" was confirmed after Shanelle Gray replied to mikey's message with the single word "Yes." While it is unknown if she will be an ally or a threat in the sequel, her group will play a huge role in the coming Keyblade War as Xehanort puts his plan into motion to cover the Disney worlds with eternal darkness.

The only force who could stop them is the chosen Keyblade warriors Sora, Riku, and Kairi.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy will be traveling to new Disney worlds to stop the Heartless from invading them. Players will see worlds and characters from "Hercules," "Tangled," "Big Hero 6," "Toys Story," "Monsters Inc.," and more. Riku, on the other hand, will assist King Mickey in finding a new ally to fight the Organization XIII and it is hinted to be Aqua.

Kairi will continue to train as a Keyblade wielder with Axel.
