"Fortnite's" V4.1 update is just hours away as it is expected to arrive alongside the introduction of Marvel's Mad Titan – Thanos. However, with the plethora of new stuff that was dropped this season, it looks like Epic Games has a lot more cooked up for their massive player base.

Plausible fan theory

If u/Hoggy-26's Reddit post is anything to go by, it may well seem that "Fortnite" Battle Royale players could be heading to space in future updates. He also believes that the crashed piece of rock on Dusty is not a comet, but an egg waiting to be hatched.

The "Fortnite" BR community is well aware of the superhero and supervillain lairs on Lonely Lodge and Snobby Shores respectively as the latter boasts a massive missile silo. He believes that it is some sort of rocket that will be launching things into space. He also stated that this might have a connection with a datamined clip where it featured a flying saucer launching from earth as it headed towards Mars. Hoggy-26 even speculated that the short video could be hinting at a new map.

Godzilla-like creature

Another thing that he pointed out was the comet.

As mentioned, he believes that the comet that blew up Dusty is not a piece of rock, but an egg. He further explained that the way it was set up was somewhat reminiscent of 2014's "Godzilla" (M.U.T.O. scene) where the egg also had pulsating lights. That said, he came at an assumption that "Fortnite" BR players could be coming across with a Godzilla-like creature in upcoming patches, not to mention that there's already a hint on the map (dino-like footprint).

Hoggy also highlighted week one's Blockbuster Challenge as it was dubbed "The Monster of Moisty Mire." He even went on claiming that the datamined week 2 reward for the same challenge will have a description stating that Omega will be escaping from prison and will be on a mission to regroup his team. The yet-to-be-formed supervillain collective (if such theory fits in the bag) will then hatch the egg and use it to wreak havoc across the map.

This is quite plausible since previous leaks from u/internetadam stated that Moisty Mire will be gone by the end of Season 4.

Patch V4.1 is at hand

Meanwhile, the upcoming V4.1 patch will go live at today 4 aAM ET and we can expect to have some downtime with this update.
