Attention Playstation lovers: The NA Playstation Store's Annual Golden Week Sale is live! This is a yearly event that takes place on the Playstation website where Japanese titles go on sale in honor of Golden Week. The sale offers up to 50 percent off for popular titles on the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, with PS Plus members enjoying extra savings of up to 60 percent. By the way, "Monster Hunter: World Digital Deluxe" is part of the sale, which will be receiving DLC.

What is Golden Week?

Quoted from Japan-guide.com, each year, Japanese workers get a week off between the end of April and early May in honor of a number of national holidays that take place during this time period.

The week begins on April 29th, which is Showa Day, celebrating the birthday of former Emperor Showa (1901 - 1989).

Some other holidays that follow are Constitution Day, Greenery Day, and Children's Day. Honestly, I'd love an entire week of holidays in the U.S. Who can I speak to to get this going? Can we get time off for it?

While Golden Week officially starts this Sunday, the Playstation sales are already fully operational and offering two weeks of awesome deals. Just a few popular games that will be part of the event include "Persona 5," "Dissidia: Final Fantasy," "Naruto Shippuden" titles, and "NieR: Automata." If you didn't grab some of these when they were released, this is your golden chance!

Playstation has begun promoting some titles on Twitter, such as "God Of War":

The newest "God of War" has been receiving great praise since its release on April 20 this year.

And if you're a "Final Fantasy" fan like I am, you'll be delighted to know that along with a number of other games under the franchise, "Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition" will be available for $39.99 (originally $49.99).

The sale will end May 8 at 8:00 AM Pacific Time, so what are you waiting for? Full speed ahead to the sale!
