PlayStation 4 owners are currently preparing themselves for "God of War," but the fun does not end on April 20. Life is set to continue in a post-Kratos world, but is there anything worth looking forward to in the upcoming month? Even if May does not hold as big of a name as SIE Santa Monica Studios' third-person action-adventure title, more than ten games are set to be added to Sony's ever-growing library.

'Dark Souls Remastered' drops players back in Lordran

Love or hate them, remasters are not going anywhere. "dark souls: Remastered" is only the most recent in a long line of beloved gems from yesteryear to receive a shiny new ultra-high-definition coat.

Developed by FromSoftware and published by Namco Bandai Games, "Dark Souls" garnered near-universal acclaim from critics. The action role-playing game's harsh difficulty is well renowned, but that did not stop "Dark Souls" from developing into a successful franchise and launching a new subgenre of gaming.

Is the remaster worth getting for gamers who own the original? Owners of the PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PC can experience "Dark Souls: Remastered" with 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Sony and Microsoft's base consoles are limited to 1080p resolution.

"Dark Souls: Remastered" will be available on May 25.

'Detroit: Become Human' is a story-driven experience

Following "Beyond: Two Souls" and "Heavy Rain," David Cage has a lot to prove with "Detroit: Become Human." A PlayStation 4 exclusive, Quantic Dreams' action-adventure game has multiple playable protagonists that can die as the story progresses.

"Detroit: Become Human" follows a couple of different storylines and is set in a futuristic world where artificial intelligence has become a reality. The PlayStation 4 title is almost a procedural, especially when controlling Connor, a police android who investigates other robots.

PlayStation 4 owners can buy "Detroit: Become Human" on May 25.

'Trailblazers' might be perfect for racing fans

"Trailblazers" is a cooperative racer that pits teams of three against each other. Developed by Supergonk and published by Rising Star Games, the arcade racing game has a cool mechanic that is genuinely unique. As the cars are speeding by, they leave a trail of paint on the racetrack.

When members of the team drive over their respective colors, they are given a substantial speed boost.

"Trailblazers" features a robust array of colorful drivers and offers local multiplayer with full split-screen support. The racer will be available to purchase on Sony's PlayStation 4 and other devices on May 8.
