New DLC episodes coming soon

According to Square Enix, the four new DLC stories will provide new chapters on the lives of the four mentioned characters in the main story. The first episode is called "The Conflict of the Sage" and it will feature Ardyn's history and hatred with the Astrals and Lucis family before the events of "FFXV." Video game fans have been requesting for an episode about Ardyn due to his popularity in the sequel.

The second episode is called "The Beginning of the End" and it is focused on the NPC support character, Aranea during the last days of the empire. Square Enix stated that it more of a side-story than a full episode, and it is described as her "worst day ever."

The third DLC is called "The Choice of Freedom" and it will feature Luna's fate after her death in the main story. Game director Hajime Tabata wanted to feature the latter in future DLC plans for the sequel and it looks like the fans will get their wish.
