Early this year, The “Pokemon GO” developer introduced a monthly mini event known as the “Pokémon GO” community day event. Unlike other “Pokemon GO” past events, the community day event is not localized at a particular venue, rather it takes place at a specific time, encouraging players to play together worldwide. According to the augmented reality game developer, Niantic, the aim of introducing this event is to get players out, playing, catching, and raiding together at a certain time, thereby facilitating more social interactions.

A report by iMore.com relayed most of the information used in this article.

The “Pokemon GO” developer hopes the monthly event will make local events and meetups interesting. The most interesting thing about this event is that it features a special Pokemon with an exclusive move for a limited time. In addition, it offers other valuable resources.

The previous events were successful and exciting

So far, there have been two Community Day events. The first event took place on January 20. The special Pokemon featured was a super-rare, variant colored Shiny Pikachu with a Surf charge move. Developer Niantic did not only increase the chance of catching this special Pokemon, it also offered resource bonuses such as double XP and three-hour lures.

The first event was fun.

According to most players, the second Community Day event took place on February 24. As usual, it lasted for three hours, and players had an increased chance of capturing a rare Dragon-type Pokemon known as Dratini. Some of the players were lucky to evolve their Dratini into Dragonair, and then Dragonite. Interestingly, the Pokémon knew a powerful Dragon-type attack move known as Draco Meteor. Other resource bonuses offered include 3X Stardust for any captured Pokemon and three-hour Lure Modules.

What the third event will offer

The third “Pokemon GO” Community Day event is already on the way. This event will take place on March 25. Hopefully, this will be the best ever.

The special Pokemon that will be featured is the Gen 1 Starter Bulbasaur, while other bonuses that will be offered are 3X XP and three-hours Lure Modules. The exclusive move is not yet known. Also, it hasn’t been confirmed if Bulbasaur will come with its exclusive move or if it will learn the charge move after being evolved.

Some players think featuring Bulbasaur will be a letdown since the previous month’s event featured a unique Pokemon in Dratini. Nevertheless, they believe featuring a Shiny Bulbasaur and its evolved forms, Ivysaur and Venusaur, will make the event more interesting. Presently, we don’t know what Developer Niantic has up its sleeves. Everyone is so eager to know what Bulbasaur’s special move will be.
