The latest updates for "Injustice 2" reveal a new gameplay trailer of Ryan Choi a.k.a. The Atom. NetherRealm Studios streamed the video and it featured the size-changing hero taking the fight to Black Manta, Bane, and Joker in the sequel. The Atom will be part of the game's third DLC pack along with The Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

NetherRealm's game producer Ed Boon will be attending this year's Game Awards and video game fans speculated that he will make a huge announcement regarding the characters for Season 2.

The Atom gameplay

Ryan Choi's gameplay style in "Injustice 2" involves using his size-changing abilities and his shrink ray. He can shrink himself down to avoid enemy attacks and unsuspectingly beats them up. His movements have been increased and he can create powerful chained combos.

The Atom can use his shrink ray to stun his opponents and set up combos. His gun can also affects the enemy's size as he can make them small or big depending on the player's choice. Ryan can also manipulate the atoms around him as he can create energy blasts, shields, and even teleport.

Ryan's finishing move sees him shrink to a smaller size and start to beat up his opponent like a bullet. He then lifts them up and grows into a giant to smash them right through the ground.

NetherrRealm Studios will add The Atom to "Injustice 2's" roster on Dec. 12 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Season 2 fighters teased?

"Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon will be one of the presenters at this year's The Game Awards event. The show's producer Geoff Keighley made the announcement through social media and fans speculated that Boon's presence will have something to do with "Injustice 2's" future plans.

The fans theorized that the "Mortal Kombat creator will announce the second season of playable characters for "Injustice 2" next year. The majority of them were disappointed when the Ninja Turtles were included on the roster and they felt that characters like John Constantine, Spawn, and the Watchmen's Rorschach or Doctor Manhattan are more deserving than them.

Perhaps Boon and the game developers are carefully planning to make this huge announcement for the game before the year ends to keep the fans interested. They are hoping that more DC and guest fighters will be added to the sequel, and trump the first season's characters.

The sequel is currently available on consoles and PC.
