The latest updates for "Tekken 7" reveal that "Final Fantasy XV's" main protagonist, Noctis, has been added to the game's roster as the third guest fighter. Bandai Namco Entertainment made the announcement during the Tekken World Tour Finals as Noctis will bring the power of the Lucis Kings against the warriors of the popular fighting game franchise.

Game producers Katsuhiro Harada also announced a new rematch function and an input lag reduction fix for the sequel's gameplay system.

Noctis enters the King of Iron Fist Tournament

Noctis Lucis Caelum is the third guest character added to "Tekken 7's" roster, joining "Street Fighter's" Akuma and "Fatal Fury's" Geese Howard. Noctis will bring his unique skill set from "Final Fantasy XV" into the sequel as he uses his signature Engine Blade to cut through his opponents.

The Crown Prince can use "Warp" to teleport himself around the arena and create surprise attacks against his opponents. He can also summon different Royal Arms and magic to create a variety of combo attacks. The Hammerhead mechanic station will be a new stage and "FFXV" characters Ignis, Gladiolus, Prompto, and Cindy are seen in the background.

Noctis in "Tekken 7" will have a connection with Kuma and Lars Alexanderson. Bandai Namco will add Noctis to the roster in spring 2018. The Japanese publisher will launch Geese Howard in the winter this year.

Video Game fans are asking for more guest fighters in the sequel and Katsuhiro Harada has encouraged them to list their favorite characters such as Kazuma Kiryu, Chun-Li, Dante, Kyo Kusanagi, and more.

New updates coming soon

Harada announced during the Tekken World Tour Finals that he and the development team are working on a new rematch function for the sequel. While the details for the rematch function are unknown, the game producer promised video game fans that he will share the new feature soon, as they are currently testing the system.

The latter also revealed a new hotfix for the sequel's input lags, and Bandai Namco has been collaborating with Unreal Engine developer Epic Games to help them fix the issue. The Japanese publisher estimated that they will launch the update within the year and players will see fewer input lags during tournaments.

For now, "Tekken" fans will just have to wait for Geese Howard to arrive this year, and Bandai Namco will have more DLC plans in the works for the sequel in 2018.
