The latest updates for "Injustice 2" reveal the official release date for the PC version this month. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios launched the PC beta version of the game this week, and PC users can download it on Steam along with the required minimum and recommended specs.

Game producer Ed Boon announced on Twitter that they will announce the playable characters for the sequel's DLC pack 3 at the ELEAGUE Injustice 2 World Championship on Nov. 10.

New characters this week

The "Injustice 2" ELEAGUE championship event will kickoff at 10 PM EDT on TBS as Ed Boon promised video game and DC fans that the third batch of DLC fighters will be a huge surprise in the sequel.

The first character introduced in the DLC pack 3 is Ryan Choi a.k.a. The Atom and two characters will be revealed on Friday.

Video game and DC fans speculated that the remaining characters could be John Constantine, Hawkgirl, Raven, Ra's al Ghul, Enchantress, Booster Gold, Spawn, and Watchmen members Rorschach and Doctor Manhattan.

NetherRealm Studios is also preparing to launch Hellboy in the roster on Nov. 21 to complete the DLC pack 2 along with Black Manta and "Mortal Kombat" guest character Raiden.

PC version release date

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that "Injustice 2" will officially launch on Nov. 14 for the PC platform, and PC users can now buy it on Steam or in the Windows Store.

The publisher hired QLOC to develop the PC version as they were responsible for working on "Mortal Kombat X" for the platform.

For now, PC users will have to enjoy the game in its beta test form this week. The minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 7 or 10 OS, and an Intel Core i5-750 processor with 2.66 GHz or an AMD Phenom II X4 965 at 3.4 GHz.

PC users will also need an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 or an AMD Radeon HD 7850 graphics card, and a DirectX version 11.

The recommended specs include a Windows 7 or 10 software, and an Intel Core i3-2100 processor at 3.10 GHz or an AMD FX-6300 at 3.5 GHz. PC users will need 8GB of RAM space, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 or an AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics card, and a DirectX version 11.

"Injustice 2's" PC version will feature all of the DLC fighter packs, and premiere character skins and shaders. Boon teased the possibility of the sequel being ported to the Nintendo Switch console, but he explained that the gameplay will not be as impressive as the PS4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
