With "Curse of Osiris" (the first "Destiny 2" expansion) just days away, there is a lot to look forward to -- and be excited about -- over the coming days. Today (November 30th), Bungie released some exciting tidbits about "Destiny 2" on their official website. Below is a summary of what was revealed.

Bungie releases info about 'Destiny 2'

As part of their "This Week at Bungie," the developer discussed a number of reasons why fans and gamers alike should get excited about "Destiny 2." Included at the beginning of the post was a "The State of Destiny Blog Update," as well as a link to the Bungie podcast for November 2017.

There is some general information about the overall state of the game and targeted things that will certainly be worked on at some point, but the meat and potatoes on a lot of minds right now is none other than "Curse of Osiris," and Bungie had a few things to say about that as well.

Pre-load and storage requirements for 'Curse of Osiris'

Players will be able to initiate the process of pre-loading "Curse of Osiris" starting at 8AM PST on December 5, 2017 (maintenance will also begin at this time). At 9AM PST, the remaining players will be removed from activities, with maintenance expected to be complete by 2PM PST. Following the end of the scheduled maintenance, "Curse of Osiris" will officially be released.

To stay up-to-date on all things, including further announcements and any other issues related to downtime, players can keep up with @BungieHelp.

As far as system requirements go, for PlayStation, 4.88 GB are required. For Xbox, gamers will need 44 GB free, while PC users need to have 68 GB free to play the expansion.

After a lot of talk, theorizing, and speculation, "Curse of Osiris" is nearly upon us.

Thanks to the folks at IGN, we already know 2 out of the 3 PvP maps that will be coming as part of the Crucible, those maps being Pacifica and Wormhaven. And, even though this will be only the first official "Destiny 2" expansion, there is already talk of where the next DLC will take place, with one Reddit user confident about the location.

While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, there is speculation that the next DLC will take place on the North Pole of Mars, with a focus on the Warminds.

With everything going on right now, and everything in the works, there's certainly a lot to look forward to if you're a "Destiny 2" fan. What are you most excited about when it comes to "Curse of Osiris"?
