Capcom confirmed the port of "Resident Evil: Revelations" to Nintendo Switch. The much-anticipated port will see both "Resident Evil: Revelations" and "Resident Evil: Revelations 2" make the cut to the highly adaptable hybrid video game console. Both titles are expected to come in a double pack that contains both games already. Players will get "RE: Revelations" via a game card and "RE: Revelations 2" through a download voucher.

The game was originally released for Nintendo 3DS in early 2012, and seeing it port over to another Nintendo console seems befitting. The survival horror video game received generally positive reviews with critics praising its brooding atmosphere and slow-paced combat. The notable mixture of old-school scare and new-school gameplay was a successful match-up that won the hearts of many fans and made most all the more excited to play the game on the Switch hardware.

Capcom eventually reaped the benefits of their hard work when "Revelations" won Best 3DS/DS Graphics in 2012 as well as Best Action/Arcade Game and 3DS/DS Game of the Year in 2013.

To help kick off its upcoming port, Capcom included a pair of minigames to come exclusively to the Nintendo Switch versions of the game. "Revelations" have already been released on multiple consoles and Capcom made a smart move by including these 8-bit gems as an exclusive content for the Switch hardware.

Ghouls ‘n Homunculi

This retro minigame draws inspiration from Capcom's own "Ghouls ‘n Ghosts." It is a side-scrolling platform game released as an arcade game in 1988, similar to "Revelations," "Ghouls 'n Ghosts" have also been ported to a number of other platforms.

In the "Ghouls ‘n Homunculi" minigame, players will control S.T.A.R.S. member Barry Burton.

Ghost Ship Panic

This next minigame will have players shooting enemies as they fall off from the top of the Switch screen. "Ghost Ship Panic" features original game adversaries like Ooze, Rachel Ooze, and Scagdead.

Though the game appears as less appealing than the former, the video below will show how this 8-bit shooter can be quite fun and rewarding at the same time.

These minigames are more than just your regular add-on. Players can utilize the points they earn while playing and spend them to upgrade or purchase items in the game's Raid Mode.

"Resident Evil: Revelations" will arrive on Switch on 28th November.
