Niantic continues to bring new exciting updates to the “Pokemon Go” app. While it is true that the company recently announced the migration of the Legendary Beast to other regions, it has now confirmed the addition of new Gen 3 creatures arriving at the reality augmented game.

According to new information revealed by Comicbook, eight Ice-Type Legendary Pokemons of the third generation will start to appear in different areas. For several months, “Pokemon Go” players have been awaiting the arrival of new legendaries corresponding to the third generation.

However, the Release Date of these long-awaited Legendary creatures has become a big unknown in the “Pokemon Go”. Now, it seems that Niantic will finally introduce a new special event to welcome the Gen 3 ones.

According to new information emerging in different social networks close to Niantic, the release date of the Legendary Pokemon could be happening after the third week of October. It makes sense if we take into account the Halloween Event coming to the game close to that date. It is worth mentioning that Niantic hasn't confirmed the Halloween Event Release Date yet, although it will likely happen in the next few weeks.

Here is everything we know right now concerning the arrival of the new Gen 3 creatures coming to the “Pokemon Go” app.

New Gen 3 creatures just added to the game by Niantic:

The new creatures that will be added to the game are listed below:

  • Snorunt
  • Glalie
  • Spheal
  • Sealeo
  • Walrein
  • Regice

This is just a set of six of the Ice-Types Pokemons that will be coming to the reality augmented game. According to the information revealed by ComicBook, it is very likely that Niantic starts to launch the rest of the Gen 3 Legendary creatures in the coming weeks.

Some of the Ice-Type creatures aren't attractive for players because they are one of the weakest types of Pokemon in the game. However, they would be beneficial for the coming events. These legendaries may not be resistant to certain attacks by other Pokemon; however, they are among the few who can face and defeat the most powerful Gym Bosses in the game, including Dragonite and other Gym defenders.

Additional information:

Niantic’s developers understand that the company will need a Raid alternative for catching the new Legendary Pokemon coming to the game.

This is all the information known so far. Keep enjoying the game, and stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
