The hype is definitely building for the first expansion of "Destiny 2" with the release of the latest trailer for "Curse of Osiris." While the expansion in question is not going to be released until December 5th of this year, that has not stopped the rumor mill from turning, as social media is ripe with fan theories and speculation regarding what gamers can expect from this expansion.
Eagle-eyed fans potentially spot fan-favorite weapon in 'Destiny 2' trailer for 'Curse of Osiris'
While it's easy to get caught up in the landscapes and the cinematic nature of the new trailer for "Curse of Osiris," eagle-eyed fans managed to catch a glimpse of what many speculate is none other than the Exotic Hand Cannon known as "Thorn" in said trailer.
In the blink of an eye, one could easily miss this glimpse, and you'd certainly be forgiven, given how stunning the trailer looks, but, thanks to the internet, there are stills making the rounds that seem to suggest that the beloved weapon may in fact make a return to the game, as seen in the tweet below:

While there has been no official confirmation as of this writing, the above image (and numerous other incarnations of it across the internet, all with varying levels of zoom) has led many fans and gamers to speculate that the weapon depicted in the picture on the right is none other than Thorn.
The buzz surrounding the release of "Curse of Osiris" is palpable all on its own, but, having said that, if Thorn and perhaps other fan-favorite weapons manage to resurface in this expansion, that is certainly something worth celebrating.
What else can fans expect from upcoming 'Destiny 2' expansion?
According to PC Gamer, Activision had this to say about what fans can expect from the "Destiny 2" expansion:
"...all-new cinematic story with new and returning characters, a new destination to explore, Mercury and its Infinite Forest, a new social space to visit called the Lighthouse, new missions, new strikes, new raid content, new free roam activities, a world quest to complete, and more."
While the blog post does not go into further detail in terms of specifics, this excerpt alone, at the very least, promises a lot of content from this upcoming expansion.
There are many YouTubers providing their own in-depth analysis of the new trailer -- one of which will be included below -- but, in the meantime, fans are left to speculate in terms of what "Curse of Osiris" will have to offer when it's finally released on December 5th.
