The gaming world has heard nothing from the upcoming action video game "Death Stranding" ever since it was revealed to the world by its creator Hideo Kojima. Fortunately, things are about to change; the Japanese video game designer has something fresh coming.

According to ComicBook, Hideo Kojima could be working on a new trailer for the upcoming game "Death Stranding." Recently, Kojima tweeted a few photos of recording along with some editing equipment.

At first look, it was a just simple tweet, a share post. But for those who familiar with the Japanese video game designer, this could be something, possibly some sort of gaming hint. Historically, whenever the Japanese game developer has tweeted or shared such posts, it has generally meant that a new trailer is imminent and coming, the ComicBok reported.

For some, this is Kojima’s way of telling his audience about the new trailer coming, just like what he did before with “Metal Gear Solid V” trailers.

About Death Stranding

Death Stranding,” which currently under development at the Kojima Productions, is an upcoming action video game set in an open world gaming environment with added elements of multiplayer functions.

“Death Stranding” is the first game developed by game designer Hideo Kojima and his own game studio Kojima Productions.

The game was first announced at Sony’s E3 2016 event, however, details have been too scarce. The developer also hasn’t set the target release date for the upcoming game. However, Kojima announced that actors Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen will be joining the game, where the two will portray the game’s leading characters through vocal performance, facial scanning and motion capture. Additionally, the game also includes director Guillermo del Toro, who will contribute his likeness to another game’s character through facial scanning.

The name “Death Stranding” is a reference to the cetacean stranding phenomenon.

The company has tapped the game engine expertise of the Dutch-based company Guerrilla Games, which has been announced as a collaborator on the development of the upcoming game. For Kojima’s game development, the Dutch company has offered its proprietary game engine Decima. The upcoming game has entered the full development production on 2017.

Kojima revealed Ludens figures

In other gaming-related news, Hideo Kojima recently revealed to the world the first images of the finalized version of his own company’s new lines of Ludens figures, the IGN reported. The news follows Kojima’s recent on-stage announcement at the recent 2017 Brazil Game Show event.

According to IGN, the three different figures of the KojiPro mascot are now available for preorder.

The gaming-focused website IGN got an exclusive first look at the finalized version of all three Ludens figures. The three different figures will be released to the market by next year. In addition, IGN also managed to reveal the final product specs for each figure, however, the Ludens will not appear in the upcoming game "Death Stranding," the website reported.
