It’s been a long while since “Marvel vs. Capcom” released a fighting game, featuring both the characters from Capcom’s games and the comic book series of Marvel. Because of it, fans of the game are very excited to see the newly released trailer.
“Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite” is the sixth installment since the crossover games started in 1996. The previous installments had the characters compete as a tag team. However, in this upcoming game, a new twist will be implemented: There will be two-on-two fights instead of the traditional three-on-three.
Fans will enjoy the new format as the duo from both teams can instantly switch to form combos for maximum damage.
Newly released “Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite” trailer
Other than the Single Player Training, Arcade, and Mission modes, “Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite” will also feature a visually stunning and cinematic Story Mode. With just a month before the game’s official release, the trailer tells a significant story. To what the story is about will be soon available in story mode once the Infinite is released. However, the plot says that the two sides will work together to defeat a bigger enemy.
The new Game Trailer showed Ultron Sigma as the ultimate villain. This being came from the fusion of Ultron and Sigma and was created by Jedah along with other villains.
He’s also the one responsible for merging both the Marvel and Capcom worlds.
New additions to the game
The game trailer featured past Marvel and Capcom characters who appeared to be involved in another Civil War in their universe. Some new characters have been revealed to add to the long lineup of the original playable characters.
The trailer that spanned for more than two minutes got to show off Ghost Rider, Dormammu, Black Spiderman, Megaman X, Captain Marvel, and a lot more. Currently, there are thirty playable characters at the player’s arsenal.
The game will also introduce the use of “Infinite Power,” a classic Marvel lore. The Infinity Stones are game-changing additions to the game where players can use them to change the outcome of battles.
Each Infinite Stones have unique characteristics and can represent a different aspect of the universe. They contain characteristics of power, soul, space, reality, time, and mind.
Release of the full game
The game had been announced last December 2016. “Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite” is slated to be released on September 17 in Japan and September 19 in North America and Europe. It will be available in different gaming platforms which include PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
