NetherRealm Studios is about to announce the next three DLC characters of “Injustice 2” Fighter Pack 2 at Gamescom 2017 today. Those who cannot attend the convention can watch the live stream online.
Big surprise awaits fans at Gamescom
As promised, the game developer has a big surprise that awaits the gaming fans at the biggest annual gaming convention in Europe. The three characters of Fighter Pack 2 will be finally unveiled during a Charity Livestream today, August 23.
When and Where to watch online
The countdown begins as the Big Reveal is down to less than an hour and those who are interested in watching it online, the Charity livestream is slated to air at 3:00 a.m.
PST, 6:00 a.m. ET, or 11:00 a.m. BST.
Those in North America need to stay up at wee hours to catch the big reveal in real time. Fans will finally get their first look at the three new fighters who will join the current roster of the fighting title.
The event can be streamed via the NetherRealm's Twitch channel.
So, who’s next?
Game enthusiasts make their respective bets as to who will be the three characters coming in the next Hero Pack. Their most popular guess is Black Manta while other players say it could be Spawn or a key character from “Wonder Woman.”
Black Manta almost confirmed
Speculations suggest that Black Manta is as almost confirmed as one of the DLC characters in Fighter Pack 2. Back at E3 2017, game director Ed Boon even agreed with the fans that one of the silhouettes on the background of Fighter Pack 1 teaser resembled the physical attribute of Aquaman's arch nemesis.
Moreover, a Reddit user also spotted an ad from Xbox Store that indicated a tagline that read “play as Black Manta in Injustice 2.”
Spawn included?
Spawn is undeniably one of the favorite choices for a DLC character in the game. In a recent teaser photo from Boon, players believe that the giant and hulking figure in the image represents Spawn’s huge and distorted body.
Wonder Woman character
But when the said photo was tweaked a bit, fans discovered more clues that hint another character who will likely jump into the fray. What appeared to be a giant back of a character is actually a pile of concrete with steel sticking out of the side.
The enhanced photo depicted a spear that has reference to “Wonder Woman.” This clue suggests that a key character from Gal Gadot film will be featured in the game and perhaps, it could be Ares.
Gamescom 2017 runs from August 22 to August 26 at Koelnmesse Expo grounds in Cologne, Germany.
“Injustice 2” is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.
