Supercell rolled out a surprise August update that adds a slew of balancing changes aimed to improve “clash royale” but more troops and exciting new features are on the way this September. Also, the game developer is currently offering two Magical Chests to all players for free.

Free Magical Chests available

On Monday, Supercell announced on Twitter that all players of “Clash Royale” gets to receive two Magical Chests for zero cost. They will get a chance to unlock a legendary card from one of the chests.

Supercell did not mention the reason why it is giving away free Magical Chests.

But normally, two chests cost players $15 in real money.

But it is possible that Supercell wants to entice players to play the game again and this is pretty much the right time to do so. This offer, however, will only be available until August 25, so, gamers must claim this gift before it’s gone.

What's coming in next update

The acclaimed developer also announced the new cards and exciting features that will be out soon in "Clash Royale."

The four new cards are Canon Cart, Mega Knight, Flying Machine (balloon canon) and the Skeletal barrel. The Canon Cart is available now in the game and Mega Knight arrives next in 18 days, so that would be around September 8.

Mega Knight cost and release date

At the moment, the Knight is known as one of the powerful cards in the mobile tower rush video game.

This card doesn’t cost much but it does a heavy damage and has high health that explains why it is perceived as a key “tank” unit.

The Mega Knight, on the other hand, will even be a better legendary card than the Knight. As a hybrid of the Knight and the Bandit, it can jump around the arena and bring damage each time it strikes.

But unlike the Knight, the Mega Knight is quite expensive as it costs 7 Elixir. Fans can expect to hear more information about this new legendary card in the coming weeks leading to its release in September.

Also, it is anticipated that a Mega Knight challenge will be held before it launches in the game. This challenge event will give the players a chance to win the legendary card ahead of its release.

2v2 mode up for a year

After the Summer of 2v2 concluded in July, the 2v2 mode returns and will be up in the game for an entire year. The 2v2 mode has gained popularity among fans of the game as it allows two players to pit against two others in a simultaneous match.

"Clash Royale" is a freemium tower rush video game developed by Supercell for Android and iOS devices. It was released in January 2016.
