Gun Media has recently released the highly anticipated PS4 1.06 update on “Friday the 13th: The Game.” The latest patch updated Memory Leaks and exploits used by players. Moreover, the studio revealed that patch for the game’s Xbox One version is scheduled to arrive next. On the other hand, PC players have already received the same set of fixes in the patch that was released earlier.

Patch 1.06

Among the most interesting highlight of the latest PlayStation 4 patch to “Friday the 13th: The Game” is the crouch glitch. This exploit is usually used by players when getting on the roof or when within concealed areas in the game.

Other areas are also being patched up to restrict users from going to areas where Jason cannot go.Aside from those, the latest patch also fixes crash bug when Slate rendering as well as the crash bug after long gameplay. It also fixes memory leak issues or those crashes that happen in the game from time to time.

Gun Media emphasized that the major focus of the latest patch is to make sure that issues happening in Xbox One are reduced if not totally eliminated. In addition, it shared that among their updates, 1.06 is the most involved process with gaming consoles. The game developer is also looking forward that while the testing of the patch is doing well, crashing dashboard issues would be resolved in the next update.

The latest patch prompted the studio to address the issue as soon as possible. It was revealed that the game developer received 5,000 reports about the exploits. In addition, bans were also rolled out and will be imposed on players who continue to abuse other users.

New stuff

Aside from the latest PS4 patch 1.06, Gun Media recently added the first game content along with the release of the Retro Jason skin.

Taken from the classic NES game, the latest skin enables Jason Vorhees to wear the purple jumpsuit and the blue hockey mask. The skin, however, does not include any fresh move set but comes with free original chiptune music.

It appears that Gun Media is determined to address the issues that have been experienced and reported by gamers through a series of patches.

However, it is still a long way to go and more work still needs to be done. The game is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
