After Activision announced the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered," fans are excited to try the new game. Unfortunately, the announcement came with a catch that will double the price of the game. On it initial release, the remastered game can only be acquired when you buy "infinite warfare." A bundle that is not welcomed by the eager fans, rather they were hoping for it to a totally different and separate game.

It took awhile before Activision finally decides to call the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" a stand alone game. Meaning, fans will be able to purchase the game separately and without needing to buy the Infinite Warfare copy.

Back in June, the game arrived on the PS4 console, citing other platforms to receive the game at a later date. Now, it looks like there's no stopping Xbox One and PC in receiving the game.

Remastered price and other details

The remastered version of the game is said to contain better and improved visuals as well as full support to its online multiplayer mode. Interestingly, the game also featured its own DLC making it a legitimate stand alone game in the Call of Duty franchise. Currently, the game is being sold at $40, fifty percent cheaper than when it was bundled with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." According to the AotF, a better deal than having to buy two games for $80 when you only need one.

Reviews on the 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare' remastered

Meanwhile, PCgamer reported that while the game is currently being sold separately, a huge discount on the original bundle is also available, leaving a $49.99 tag price for the price of two. Players are likely to willingly shed $10, instead of another $40 from its original price.

Despite the good news, the "Modern Warfare" remastered game also received significant numbers of negative reviews, and they all have to do with hackers in the multiplayer, the struggle to find the perfect match in the multiplayer and of course, the poor target performance that everybody seems to have noticed.

According to the Gamespot, players can buy the game's DLC for $15 and it includes four maps that were also present in the original "Call of Duty 4." Meanwhile, the Modern Warfare stand alone game already includes 16 base maps upon shipping.

The game is now available and ready for download on the Xbox One and PC platforms. The game's PS4 release, which happened in June is part of Sony's time exclusive contract with the game and developer.
