Kurt Angle is the pre-order bonus of 'WWE: 2K18'. In my previous article, I reported several leaks that hinted at the possibility of the US Olympian being the playable character in the game’s pre-order bonus.

After numerous speculations and buzz on the Internet, finally, Kurt Angle himself announced that he is the playable character in the pre-order bonus of 'WWE: 2K18'. On his official Twitter account, the Olympic gold medalist posted the announcement along with the game’s official art. The revelation, however, was already expected as there were heavy speculations about him coming to the game.

His announcement was later confirmed by the game's official Twitter account.

Wrestling fans have been missing Angle. The athlete was never seen above the ring since his last appearance in 2007 during the SmackDown vs. Raw event. According to the recent announcement, he will join the A-list of pre-order superstars that include Ultimate Warrior, Goldberg, and Sting.

There are also speculations about the storyline of the pre-order bonus.

According to claims, the US Olympian will track down Seth Rollins for vandalizing the archives and destroying the game’s memorabilia. This plot is so familiar as it was the same approach that Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar were introduced in the game’s first expansion.

Other characters

Officially, only Kurt Angle and Seth Rollins are the two superstars confirmed in the upcoming game.

However, recently there was a trailer released for the game that showed Rollins destroying the Hall of Fame statue of some of the legendary superstars. These include Andre the Giant, Ted Dibiase, Triple H, Edge to name a few.

Aside from the superstars, fans are excited about the features that this new title will offer. More than anything, fans want to see the Showcase Mode and the Universe Mode in the upcoming title.

As for this, the game developer has not yet revealed anything. For now, fans are only informed that the next installment will have improved visuals and intensified gameplay.

The current game installment, which is the 2017 version, is available on Xbox One and 360, PlayStation 3 and 4, and on PC. 'WWE: 2K18' is slated to release in Fall 2017. There are speculations that the upcoming game will also be released on Nintendo Switch. However, the game developer has not yet made any comment about this.
