Call Of Duty: WWII” is scheduled to reveal in full its multiplayer features in the upcoming E3 2017 event. The big reveal is just a few more days away. But while the fan base is still waiting for that fateful day, there is a lot of information that we have learned about the mode of the upcoming first person shooter.

Teamwork and strategy

Call of Duty: WWII” multiplayer was detailed by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey of Sledgehammer in their interview with EDGE magazine.

According to them, this time players will experience a slower paced and more strategic multiplayer. Compared to the Advanced Warfare, WWII is short of boosts, drives, and other abilities. Given the game’s theme, Condrey remarked that the use of future technology and exoskeletons are simply not apt.

Among the changes shared by Sledgehammer for the “Call of Duty: WWII” multiplayer includes slowing down the pace of the game to be able to refocus on the strategy and teamwork aspect of the feature. The quick action the series is popular for will still be in the game including the run-and-gun that players have grown to love.

Power slides and double jumps, however, are now excluded.

Movement options and other details

With the pace slowing down a bit, the character movements in the upcoming shooter game will be more restricted compared to other COD games. Condrey added that players will get used to the latest movements but will have to undergo a certain transitional phase to get the feel of the game. He noted that even they have to make several adjustments to the latest change.

Maps

It is worth noting that the game developers visited many places surrounding Europe. Schofield was quoted saying that they went to the places not only because they wanted to see everything about it. He said they also wanted to get the feel of the places.

They wanted to learn the feeling of really being in Aachen or Normandy at below ten-degree temperature.

Fans can expect environmental storytelling to be introduced in the multiplayer. Aside from that, Sledgehammer spent so much time designing the map. The upcoming game would have important rules on engagements and sightlines. It is possible that the maps and environments found in the single-player mode of the game will be adapted to the multiplayer. However, Sledgehammer made it clear that there are other maps that are not tied to the campaign.

Call of Duty: WWII” is set to be released on November 3, 2017. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. We will keep you posted with more update about your favorite game as soon as information becomes available.
