The CBD-infused Health Food industry has been on the rise recently. The legalities of the issue may still be in question, at least according to the DEA, but for now, it’s not illegal to infuse your foods with CBD.
CBD (cannabinol) is only one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. When CBD products are made from the industrial hemp variety of cannabis there are only negligible amounts of THC included, making them non-psychoactive. This allows consumers to enjoy the cannabis' health benefits without experiencing the “high."
In use for thousands of years
While CBD was first identified in 1940, the use of products infused with cannabis dates back thousands of years.
As with all health products, the benefits of various brands vary wildly. Users must always be sure to check the concentration of the CBD ingredient, as well as the concentrations of other ingredients included. Reputable products will also include usage instructions with normal and maximum dosages.
Many CBD-infused products can help alleviate symptoms of pain, inflammation, stress/anxiety quickly and effectively. CBD-infused products include not only food-based but also personal care products like lotions.
Products like Magical Butter, a Botanical Extractor, is a compact, easy way to infuse healthy herbs into your food from the comfort of your own kitchen. This cost-effective machine can not only be used for butter and oil but can help make other foods and skin care products.
Another new product for home users is Oblend. This countertop device can be easily used with an app to create Culinary Oils, Lotions, and Vapor Cartridges. The app allows you to control the level of the Essential Oils in your ingredients and to save the settings so you can make it the same way every time. Oblend was selected as a CES 2018 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Fitness, Sports, and Biotech Product category.

Don't go cold turkey
Many users have reported that by using CBD-infused products they have been able to completely forgo their use of pharmaceuticals.
Please note that it is NEVER a good idea to stop taking your medication without first consulting with the doctor who prescribed them. In many cases to cut out some medications "cold turkey" can have dangerous consequences.

Always consult your physician before making any alterations to your medication or before adding any health foods to your diet (as there could be unforeseen side effects, interactions, or other complications).
