New studios at the ready

Every console needs a good install base of video games but Microsoft somehow managed to lose several high-profile studios over the years. Fortunately, the company solved things back in 2018 with an acquisition spree, adding new game studios to the fold. The list includes Crytek (‘Crysis’), CD Project Red (‘Cyberpunk 2077’), Red Barrels (‘Outlast’), Ninja Theory (‘Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’), InXile Entertainment (‘Wasteland’), and Obsidian Entertainment (‘The Outer Worlds’).
