Every season, there are contending teams that buy to make their team better for a playoff run and there are losing teams that sell for prospects and draft picks. This year is no different in the Eastern Conference with multiple teams out of the playoff picture. Those teams contain players that could be traded and that could help contending teams get better. Here are players from Eastern Conference teams that could find themselves playing on a contender.

Bullock is averaging 9.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Marcus Morris

Despite Morris stating that he wants to stay with the Knicks, the best option for the Knicks now and in the future is to trade him. Morris is having a career year averaging 19.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 46.9 percent from three.

Portis is averaging 10.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 37.2 percent from three and 44.1 percent from field goal range. He has a $15.75 million club option attached to him for next season.

The Wizards will attempt to extend Bertans but they could opt to trade him and get a lot for him. He's averaging 15.3 points, five rebounds and 1.7 assists while slashing 44.1/43.4/88.7.

Derrick Rose

Rose is having one of the best seasons of his career averaging 18.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists while shooting 49.6 percent from field goal and 87.9 percent from the charity stripe. He's under contract for one more year and would probably cost a first round pick to acquire him.

Galloway is averaging 10.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists while slashing 42.8/39.3/86.4. He's a free agent at the end of the season.
