Sen. Corey Booker drops out of 2020 presidential race

Sen. Corey Booker announced on Monday that he would no longer run for the Democratic presidential nomination after he failed to qualify for the upcoming democratic debate in Iowa. The New Jersey Senator entered the race, last February, with tremendous support but fell short of monetary support for the debate that's scheduled on Tuesday. NBC News reported, Booker made his public announcement after he held a staff call at his campaign headquarters in Newark, New Jersey.

Actors, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were named honorary Miami officers on Monday morning. Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Chief Jorge Colina announced them as honorary Miami officers and granted them real police badges. They also gave them the key to the city. Jan. 12 was also proclaimed as Bad Boys for Life Day in the city.
