For the final time in the 2019 NFL season, let’s take a look at the players who excelled in Week 16 despite not being owned in many fantasy leagues. (While there still is Week 17, many fantasy leagues end in Week 16 due to many key players taking the last week off prior to the playoffs).
In order to be eligible for the list, the player must be owned in less than 25 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues. One quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, and one tight end are highlighted.
Quarterback - Andy Dalton, Bengals (396 passing yards, 4 passing touchdowns, 1 fumble lost)
With the Bengals down 22 points to the Dolphins midway through the third quarter, Dalton led a wild rally with four second half touchdown throws (Cincinnati ended up losing in overtime). It’s the first time that Dalton has thrown that many touchdowns in a game since Week 2 of last season.
Today was Andy Dalton’s best fantasy stat line since Week 3, 2015 when he had over 36 fantasy points. No one started him, right?

Running back - Rex Burkhead, Patriots (20 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 4 receptions, 77 receiving yards, 1 fumble lost)
After scoring just one touchdown in his first ten outings, Burkhead has reached paydirt in each of his last two games. His 77 receiving yards easily surpassed his previous season-high of 47.

Running back - Jordan Wilkins, Colts (84 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown)
Wilkins saw a lot of mop up time in the fourth quarter in the Colts’ 38-6 shellacking of the Panthers and scored his second rushing score on the year (his first came in the previous week). He set up his touchdown with a 38-yard scamper that went down to the two-yard line.

Wide receiver - Steven Sims Jr., Redskins (6 receptions, 64 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns, 9 rushing yards)
An undrafted rookie, Sims has scored the first three touchdowns of his career in the last two games. He has been targeted 21 times in those two contests after receiving just 27 targets in his first 13 games.
Steven Sims Jr. had his best game as a pro — 6 receptions, 64 yards, 2 touchdowns — days after missing practice to attend his grandfather’s funeral in Louisiana. After the game, he said Sunday was also his first time scoring with his parents in attendance. https://t.co/I6byskVH55

Wide receiver - Tajae Sharpe, Titans (5 receptions, 69 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns)
Sharpe has been somewhat of a forgotten man this season for the Titans after he totaled 838 receiving yards in his first two seasons. Prior to Sunday, he had just 153 yards in Tennessee’s last 10 games. Fantasy Pros mention him as a player who perhaps should be added in deeper leagues (for those that play in Week 17) if Corey Davis is forced to miss another game.
#Titans snap counts on offense. A. J. Brown with 62 snaps. Corey Davis with 44 (left in 2nd half due to a concussion). Tajae Sharpe with 39 snaps and Jonnu Smith with 51. pic.twitter.com/QQ9KGATv0c

Tight end - Kaden Smith, Giants (6 receptions, 35 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns)
With Evan Engram out with injury, Smith has been mildly productive in the last five games while being inserted into the starting lineup. In that time, he has caught 22 passes to go along with three scores.
Kaden Smith was on the field for every snap. What a find he's been.
