Governor Jay Inslee is the 13th Democrat to enter the 2020 presidential race. He has announced he is going to run as the "climate change" candidate. Twitter, unsurprisingly, had some reactions.

The Green New Deal Canididate
One Twitter user pointed out that Inslee got into the race just as climate change took an interesting turn in the long running debate.

He’s no front-runner, but his climate-first candidacy will be a telling test of how open Democrats are to that kind of message just as the Green New Deal debate settles in.
End of the filibuster?
One user pointed out that Inslee isn't just about green energy.
Jay Inslee: "I believe the filibuster is an artifact of history that no longer fits American democracy." https://t.co/RbfA5aUnS0

Popularity could grow quickly
One user believes Inslee is going to gain a head of steam rather quickly.
I think a lot of pundits are going to be surprised when Gov. Jay Inslee--not a national figure--quickly gains support among young voters for making climate change the focus of his campaign. Many political commentators really underestimate how much this matters to young voters. https://t.co/IWFeC4XK0U

Getting the message out
One user doesn't believe he'll get elected but he will be able to get the message out.
Sounds good. He wont get elected but he will push everyone else to talk about the REAL NATIONAL EMERGENCY.

Not appealing to everyone
There were some Twitter users for sure who were unhappy that yet another candidate had joined an already crowded field.
