The Nebraska basketball team lost yet another game on Saturday afternoon and there are some rather key takeways from a game that couldn't come at a worse time.
The rest of the season will be Copeland-less
Not only did the Huskers lose again, they lost one of their best players. After being called for traveling, Isaac Copeland finished his drive to the hoop. After his jump, he landed funny and left the game. It turns out he tore his ACL.
Husker nation thank you for welcoming me with open arms. Unfortunately my time here as a player was cut short due to injury. Keep me in your prayers and keep supporting our team ! Love ❤️ #GBR

James Palmer's game has changed
JPJ had a decent game against Ohio State. What has changed from earlier in the season is the way he's scoring. He used to be a guy who went to the line a lot. Last game, he only had 9 FTAs. On Saturday he had three. Palmer's game changing is one of the reasons the Huskers are struggling.

Isaiah Roby is still good but not great
There was a time when Isaiah Roby was considered a threat to go to the NBA early. Now one has to wonder if he's going to the NBA at all. Roby had another good, but far from great game. With Copeland out, can he finally step up and be the player Husker fans have been expecting for three years.
Isaiah Roby: "We're wasting opportunities, in my eyes. We're running out of opportunities to make a name for ourselves."

The bench is a real problem
We knew coming into the season the Huskers were going to have depth problems. It turns out those problems are bigger than we thought. Exhaustion could be part of the reason the team is struggling right now.
Doc Sadler 101-89 .532 Tim Miles 110-103 .516 6 years of recruiting and your bench scores 6pts.

This might have been Tim Miles' swan song
The Huskers came into the season among the buzziest of teams. Now they are underachieving big time. One game after Miles called his team "soft" they looked worse. It appears he's out of answers.
2 weeks ago, Tim Miles was safe as could be and all was well in #Nebrasketball land.

Today, his seat seems extremely hot. Such is life in Year 7 when expectations are sky high and they have reason to be.
Would love to be a fly in the wall in Bill Moos’ office right now.
