On the heels of Vince McMahon officially announcing that the XFL will be returning to the gridiron in 2020, it is time to start thinking of what former and current NFL players could possibly be suiting up for one of the eight XFL teams in just over one year from now.

If you happened to watch the press conference on December 5, you could see that McMahon along with former NFL quarterback and current XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck are very serious about making the league successful.

Here is a list of players that could help get the XFL off the ground and running, while peaking fans interest right from the get-go.

1

Tim Tebow

This guy is still as popular as ever and still in great shape. If the baseball dream goes south, Tebow is a must have at the XFL’s conception.

2

Tyrod Taylor

He can play at a high level, but his days in Cleveland may be over with Baker Mayfield on the scene. If he doesn’t have an NFL job in 2020, he would be a great starter on any XFL team.
