XFL 2020: 5 former and current NFL players that are a good fit for the XFL comeback

The XFL is ready to hit the ground running in 2020, but who will be suiting up is still a mystery.

On the heels of Vince McMahon officially announcing that the XFL will be returning to the gridiron in 2020, it is time to start thinking of what former and current NFL players could possibly be suiting up for one of the eight XFL teams in just over one year from now.

If you happened to watch the press conference on December 5, you could see that McMahon along with former NFL quarterback and current XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck are very serious about making the league successful.

Here is a list of players that could help get the XFL off the ground and running, while peaking fans interest right from the get-go.

Tim Tebow

This guy is still as popular as ever and still in great shape. If the baseball dream goes south, Tebow is a must have at the XFL’s conception.

Tyrod Taylor

He can play at a high level, but his days in Cleveland may be over with Baker Mayfield on the scene. If he doesn’t have an NFL job in 2020, he would be a great starter on any XFL team.

Johnny Manziel

If he really has got his act together, Manziel would be a great fit in Dallas. Just like Tebow, he will draw a crowd!

Matt Schaub

Sticking with the QB theme, Schaub could bring great experience to a team trying to get started. From 2008-2014 Schaub was one of the best in the game. Now a backup with Atlanta, he doesn’t see much action behind Matt Ryan.

Keenan Reynolds

One of the best athletes in college football history, Reynolds was an offensive monster during his four years at Navy. Recently released by the Seahawks, Reynolds would be a welcomed addition to the newly formed league.
