These five basketball stars stepped it up to help their teams win on Saturday.


Saturday night's NBA action featured some dazzling performances. That included several 40-point games from star players, an NBA history-tying performance, a triple-double, and a return to form for one Warriors star. Here are the five standout players from Saturday (Dec. 29).


Jamal Murray - Denver Nuggets

Murray was scorching hot on Saturday night as he scored 46 points against Phoenix. Murray also had 46 points, eight assists, and six rebounds in the 122-118 win.


Giannis Antetounmkpo - Milwaukee Bucks

On Saturday, Greek Freak notched his third triple-double of the season, and it was in a win. Antetounmkpo recorded 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists to defeat the visiting Brooklyn Nets.


James Harden - Houston Rockets

James Harden has now tied Oscar Robertson for the longest streak with 35 points and five assists at seven games. Saturday night's saw Harden score 41 points, grab nine rebounds, and dish out six assists to defeat the Pelicans in New Orleans.


LaMarcus Aldridge - San Antonio Spurs

LaMarcus Aldridge keeps getting it done in San Antonio. The big man put up a season-high 38 points to help his squad defeat the visiting Los Angeles Clippers.


Klay Thompson - Golden State Warriors

Don't call it a comeback, Klay's been here for years. He finally found his shooting ability again in Saturday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Klay's 32 points including four 3-pointers helped hold off a huge night from Damian Lillard and Portland.
