Music streaming continues to be a big deal, and the artist on the No. 1 spot for the top five hip-hop songs fully knows it. In fact, that artist has three of the top five songs in the past year. Here's a look at what all made the list, per Billboard's year-end chart.

1

God's Plan - Drake

One artist seemingly dominated the music scene for hip-hop in 2018, and that was Drake. His newest album "Scorpion" unleashed a frenzy of hit songs including this chart-topper. It was his first single along with "Diplomatic Immunity" ahead of the new album's release this year. Drake has several other entries among the top 100 including those he's the solo artist for or a guest on.

2

I Like It - Cardi B, Bad Bunny, J Balvin

Cardi B took over for the female emcees on the hip-hop charts this past year. It samples the 1967 track of the same name by Pete Rodriguez. Even former President Barack Obama listed it amongst his favorite songs of the past year.

3

In My Feelings - Drake

This particular song caught on big thanks to its hook with Drake calling out different female names. In addition, the dance craze took off, as everyone was posting videos to Instagram, Snapchat, or wherever. That included the New York Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. among others.

4

Psycho - Post Malone feat. Ty Dolla $ign

It was a big year for Post Malone because he had multiple albums and songs on the charts. In addition, he was among the hip-hop stars who helped crush streaming records for their music on platforms like Spotify. Malone also the No. 6 track "Rockstar," and No. 8 with "Better Now" to give him three top 10 hip-hop tracks in 2018.

5

Nice for What - Drake

Yet another catchy track from Drizzy rounds out the top five. Within the background sample music for Drake's "Nice for What" is the Lauryn Hill classic song "Ex-Factor." Drake continues to bring forth catchy tracks that captivate the masses, as evidenced by his third track within the top five for the past year.
