January marks the beginning of a new year, but for Netflix subscribers, it also means a month of new films. Netflix has countless films and shows coming to the streaming platform, but the following 10 titles are definitely worth watching. Some classics and modern favorites are headed to Netflix's streaming catalog. Throughout January, you can catch these hit films through your own subscription.

1

'The Dark Knight'

"The Dark Knight" has become a fan-adopted classic. It has become one of Christopher Nolan's best batman films in his trilogy. It's only been a decade since it was first released in theaters. The title is actually making a return to Netflix.

2

'Hell Or High Water'

One of the best indie western films in today's world is "Hell or High Water." The western film became more successful than what the cast and crew expected. Gumption and grit shape this film on the inside and out. The film stars Chris Pine and Ben Foster, who are brothers robbing banks for a certain reason. Jeff Bridges also stars as one of the men hunting them.

3

'Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade'

Any fan will tell you that "Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade" is one of the better films in the franchise. However, there are some who would pick "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" as their favorite or "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Luckily for fans, Netflix will be streaming the entire original three films at the same time. The highlight of this film was the pairing of Sean Connery and Harrison Ford as father and son.

4

'The Departed'

"The Departed" has to be one of the best and grittiest cop and gangster films in existence. The film stars Matt Damon and Leonardo DiCaprio. The was the first and only film to earn Martin Scorsese a Best Director Oscar. This release comes as Netflix is working on Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman" which they will add to their library.

5

'Disney/Pixar's Incredibles 2'

Probably the best animated film of 2018 was "Incredibles 2." It comes 10 years after the first one hit theaters and became a fan favorite. This release comes on Netflix as Disney works to reclaim all their films for their upcoming streaming service. This film is the perfect cherry to an already busy January.
