5 reasons Nebraska can beat Iowa, finish second half of the 2018 season 5-1

The Huskers are rolling as they prepare for the Hawkeyes this Friday (November 23) in the regular season finale.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will conclude the 2018 regular season schedule against their arch nemesis - the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Huskers have not defeated the Hawkeyes since 2014, a game in which they won 37-34 in overtime. This season could very well favor the Huskers odds of getting back to their winning ways against the Hawkeyes and below is why.

Adrian Martinez

Big Ten defenses are quickly learning that Martinez is a dual threat that can cause havoc. The Hawkeyes will face one of the best young quarterbacks in the Big Ten in Martinez and their defense has been giving up huge numbers of late.

Different directions

Momentum means everything in the world of sports. The Huskers believe they are improving quickly and the Hawkeyes are playing out the string. Iowa has lost three of their last four games, while the Huskers have won four of their last five.

The Huskers are 7.5-point underdogs. Nebraska wants to prove they are no fluke against a team that has handled them the past three years.
