Desert Rose
Desert rose is a beautiful flower found in Africa. It contains a chemical known as ouabain, which causes respiratory failure when consumed in large amounts. Hunters use it’s killing power to their advantage to hunt down animals in the wild. However, the African crested rat also takes advantage of its lethal power by chewing the bark of the flower, licking its hair with the ouabain poison, thereby turning itself into a deadly animal.
