The meeting
President Trump invited rapper Kanye West for a scheduled luncheon at the White House on Thursday (Oct 11). The pair were to discuss prison reforms, African American employment, the creation of manufacturing jobs, and gang violence in Chicago, among other things. Although they dined privately, critics have described the televised portion of the meeting as, “disgraceful,” “embarrassing,” and “cringe-worthy.”
